Deviation Actions
Had a great day of shooting today at the Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn MI. The trees were in bloom and so were the flowers, providing ample chances for great shots. My wife even got a little camera time in and I think she is almost hooked. Hopefully that will speed her approval for a new camera! 
That Nikon D3200 is looking like my next step. Seems to be a good deal all things considered.
I also had an idea for self promotion. I asked a couple if they would like to have their photo taken and e-mailed to them. They did so I took 2 shots of them and e-mailed them to them (to the female since she insisted I use her e-mail in case she didnt like them lol) and I included links to here, my Etsy shop, and my Facebook. Hopefully they will look around and like what they see.

Nikon D5200
I finally got it! What a wonderful camera this is! The only issue is that I need another lens, this 18-55mm is nice but as you can imagine has no zoom. Other than that I love it. I have been out once shooting with basic settings and need to get in and fiddle with it a bit. I know it can do a lot I just need to learn how to get the best from it.
The P500 is still broken and will be for at least a few more weeks. Once it is fixed it will become the primary shooter for my wife (http://greyeyez1980.deviantart.com/) as well as my back up. Well off to shoot again! Hope everyone has a great day!
Broken P500
So I have a Nikon P500 that I use for all my shooting as it is the ONLY camera I have. While out shooting the other day it started acting funny and shutting down every so often instead of taking a shot. It was not a terrible problem as it was only once every so often, I would aim, adjust, press the button and the camera would turn off instead. I would shoot a few dozen more shots and it would happen again. Then it started doing it every time I tried to take a shot. It will do anything BUT take a photo. It will record video, play video, playback slideshow but it now considers the shutter button to be a suicide button.

My first DD!
The last entry I made here was when I posted some pics from a fire behind my home at a stripmall. One of those pictures earned me a DD! I am thankful to those who frequent my page and helped keep my work noticeable enough to earn my first DD! To all my new friends who have found me BECAUSE of the DD I say thank you for the support! I am feeling inspired to go out and shoot now and I have never had my work recognized in anything even close to this degree before. I really do appreciate the support everyone, thank you!
FIRE!
So there was a fire immediately behind my apartment! A strip mall burned down and I was there to take some shots. Got some fairly good pics too, but left too early as it turned out there was some seriousness later. It seem a firefighter lost his life to fight this blaze. It is never good to hear when someone loses their life, particularly when it is someone who is doing something for the greater good. Heroes can fall just like the rest of us I suppose, but at least they stand for something before they fall......
